Wow, that is some amazing work. Thanks for the effort and time spent making these films the best that they can be. PM sent.

Thanks for the suggestions re: the ROTJ docos. Having played around with the puzzle pieces, and taken into account suggestions here, I’ll release a 25GB and a 50GB version.
25GB
- Returning to Jedi (2007) - 148 mins
- Empire of Dreams Part III (2004) - 30 mins
- Classic Creatures (1983) - 48 mins
- Jamie Benning: ROTJ Location Special Effects (2015) - 5 mins
50GB
- Everything on the 25GB version, plus:
- From SW to Jedi: The Making of a Saga (1983) - 70 mins
- When Star Wars Ruled the World (2004) - 50 mins
- Jamie Benning: Life Inside Jabba The Hutt (2015) - 20 mins
- Star Wars: The Magic and the Mystery (1997) - 50 mins
It’s possible there will be room for one more on the 50GB. Will have to wait and see, but feel free to suggest something if you know of a really good one.
How about one of these:
From Star Wars to Star Wars: The Story of Industrial Light & Magic (1999)
Industrial Light & Magic: Creating the Impossible (2010)
I agree, all of your work so far has been nothing short of amazing! You will go down in the history of original trilogy.
I think you made the correct decision on making both a 25GB pack and 50GB pack.
Fantastic.
Slight variation again, so that no one misses out on the whole set, should they want it.
1. ULTIMATE 50GB Disk
RETURN OF THE JEDI DOCUMENTARIES
STAR WARS TRILOGY DOCUMENTARIES
And then, these will essentially be split in two for the 25GB crowd.
2. ROTJ DOCUMENTARIES 25GB disk
3. STAR WARS TRILOGY DOCUMENTARIES 25GB disk
Getting all 3 of these optons finished and uploaded is going to take some time, but I think it’s worth it to finish the set in style. Will update as progress is made.
Maybe there’s some space for a little Easter-Egg or something… 😉
Yep, that is a must!
Thanks so much for all your hard work. I look forward to the evolution of this set when v3.0 is out for the entire trilogy. At that point I’ll download and create my set 😃

Also, I find BD-Rs to be more reliable than DL DVD-Rs. Fewer write fails for me with BD. DVD-R tech is known for using shitty dye (I believe they are not expected to have the lifespan of even CD-Rs). It’s worth considering saving up for a BD burner, which can be as cheap as $65-80 bucks. But compared to spending cash on software for DVD-R burning, I think it’s a no brainer.
Another alternate would be purchasing a media player that plays ISO Disc Image files. I own this KDLinks model.
It has USB ports for sticks and external hard drives and an HDMI port to hook up to your TV.
You just download the ISO Image file to your stick or external hard drive. Plug either one to the media player. If I turn the player’s BD Menu feature to ON, I can select the ISO image file from the USB storage device and the player automatically displays the ISO image file’s menu and I can access the file’s features through the menu, just like a physical disc. For $160 at amazon.com, it’s not bad.
It saves me the hassle of waiting for a disc to finish burning only to find out that there is some flaw either in the download or in the creation of the original file ,or what ever, and you have to redo the burning on a another disc.
I do understand that people want to have a physical disc to hold and to display the artwork and if it is worth the wait and the wasted discs, so be it. I just want to have the product, now and not go through all that.
EDIT:
Maybe somewhere down the line, I may want to have a program burned to a disc and put artwork on the cover to match my Blu Ray collection, but, at least, by playing the content on a USB device, I can review the material and see if it is worth transferring to a disk.

Just a heads up, that could be months away, but also the set will be different for v.3, given that a 1080p version will inevitably take up a lot more room on the disk.
(disc? now I’m confused.)
Yup I figured it’s a while away. Could be years even. That’s ok I’m pretty patient.
I’m just excited that a fellow member has offered to hook me up with the full trilogy once ROTJ is done since I don’t have a Blu-Ray burner. Can’t wait for this. 😃

I also have the same dilemma. I’d pay for shipping if someone could burn these.
My Blu-ray burner seems to be failing. None of my BD discs are burning correctly. It’s probably 8 years old now. If any kind soul can burn a set for me I would of course pay for the cost of the discs and shipping. PM me if you would be interested in helping me out. 😀 I am in the US.
is there no changes comparison like star wars and empire for jedi?
The 81 crawl should be able to be swapped in via MultiAVCHD if you’d prefer it.
I haven’t downloaded this set yet but plan to very soon and would prefer to have the '81 crawl. What files (other than the ANH disc) would I need to do this? My apologies if this has already been covered elsewhere.

You would just need a bluray compliant video file that is the same length as the v2.7 video.
Much appreciated!

I am also in the same boat here in the U.S., if there’s anyone out there that could help me out that would be awesome.

Truly awesome guys and this is my first post being new to the forum.
Just finished watching “The People vs. George Lucas” and got the website from it.
Couldn’t agree more with everyone here - Lucas just shouldn’t have messed with perfection or at least had given us the opportunity to choose.
Grew up with Star Wars. Dad took me to see ANH when I was 9. I’ve purchased literally every version cranked out by Lucas (even the not-so-good edits and not-so-great prequels) and would have easily paid for the “original” version.
I’m so glad there’s fans like you willing to do something about it.
Just my two cents… well done!
The Return of the Jedi set is now finished, but at this stage only the 50GB film + features is uploaded. I will be uploading the rest of the set over the next week or so, and will post in the forum when they’re available. Please message me if you would like the 50GB option.
