it is one of the best movies ever made, it's a classic movie

Bear in mind, Ric, that what you are saying is purely subjective. It's one of the best to you and a classic to you. I don't agree. I feel it is an overhyped movie that just makes no sense whatsoever and is mindnumbingly boring. And I watched it when I was 23. But this is also just my opinion and I acknowledge it as such. I'm not requiring you to agree. But you shouldn't question my right to feel this way about it.

However, I would never lump it with Battlefield Earth. That's just a bad movie. Bad writing, acting, directing, everything. Whereas 2001 does have some redeeming qualities. I just can't think of them right now.

Sure, I meant to me, of course. 2001 always had mixed reviews since it was first released, and it's not for everyone's taste. You have to agree it's a classic movie like Casablanca or Citizen Kane. Look at "Grease", I consider it a classic movie, but I don't like it (and I enjoy musicals).

Since 95% of the TCBY franchises have gone out of business, I doubt many people have heard of them.

For those not in the know, TCBY is "The Country's Best Yogurt" and it's a franchised frozen yogurt store.

Maybe not 95% exactly. But they've been going out of business steadily over the course of the last decade. Where my hometown and surrounding communities used to have 8 TCBYs, there are now none. I don't even know where to go here to still get TCBY. The store had a bad business model and overfranchised itself. Frozen yogurt was also a big fad thing. Yeah, some people still eat it, but not like the early to mid 90s. So many other yogurt chains have gone under completely as well. How some TCBYs are still staying afloat is beyond me.

Well most of them also sell many flavors of ice cream and variatitions there of as well now, and they've also gotten into the frozen cappuchino business.

I know of only two in my area, one in my own town and the other in a comercial uber-center known as Johnson City, about thirty miles away.

Alot of the rest stops by me have them. this is along interstate 95 on the east coast. From the setup of the stores though it seems that they are jointly owned with another store (cant remember the name off the top of my head) because they have shared employees...kind of like the dairy queen and orange julius stores in the malls.

*edit, not sure if the one in my parents town is still there however...cant remember, but i think it is

I know what you mean. For some reason I have never been able to get into Citizen Kane. But I still consider it a classic.

Yay. I have surpassed Luke on the Top Ten!

I think I'm marking Best Buy off my potential summer jobs list, though.

The only TCBY I ever saw was before the turn of the century at Carowinds.

I always thought it stood for "This Can't Be Yogurt" though.

Must have just gotten it confused with that Fabio guy and "I can't believe this isn't butter"

I always assumed that "I can't believe this isn't butter" was like Butter with one molecule different in the formula.

I dunno about the solid version, but I know that the spray version is basically just butter flavored water.

Heh.

Kind of like chocolate milk made with skim milk tastes like chocolate milk flavored water.

You'd think we'd have something better to do.
