Here’s everything wrong with ATOC packed into one video.

I think there’s more than five minutes wrong with AOTC

There’s actually 142 minutes wrong.

I’m pretty sure most people on this site have seen the Plinkett reviews, and while they’re great, they don’t really go much further than pointing out things that ‘don’t make no sense’.

I completely disagree. I think more than that, it digs at the core fundamental problems with the prequels and why they are inferior to the originals. (No opposition to George, too much focus on technical effects and CGI and too little focus on story, no depth to any characters, no emotional involvement, etc.) The parts that nitpick at things that “don’t make no sense” are really just for fun in comparison. I disliked the prequels before I saw the reviews, but they articulated things that “my brain” had noticed but I hadn’t put into words before.

Feel free to disagree about the content of the reviews, but there’s no denying that the reviews have been discussed endlessly here.

The only good thing about AoTC was Jango Fett.

I agree. Unfortunately, Jango also came with the ruination of Boba.

Well that’s the only part I was disagreeing with, clearly most people here are aware of 'em and have talked about them a lot. I just didn’t think a thread called “What is wrong with Attack of the Clones?” was complete without at least one mention of them.

I was being a bit flippant about those reviews, since although I do enjoy them, for me they’re intended to induce a state of cathartic dissatisfaction with the prequels instead of explaining how exactly the plot doesn’t work. I haven’t watched Episode 2 in its entirety in quite a while, but I don’t recall that they went into any depth about Dooku or Sypho-dias or Palpatine’s thought process for allowing the Republic to get the clones.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

His reviews actually break down so much more than “what doesn’t make sense” that he almost makes the movie impossible to watch because of all the issues he pointed out when it comes to continuity, dialogue, and basic storytelling.

Yeah, I can’t even watch them to try and enjoy them for what they are anymore. I literally can’t stop thinking about the reviews when I try to, and then I end up just watching them again instead…

Add to the fact that the review is far more entertaining.

Disney needs to make a significant large donation in the name of Marcia Lucas to the charity of her choice, hook her up with an editing crew and gear and all the footage they have from the PTs. Give here a few months to monkey around and see what can be done. The result can be called the Reunion Edition. Something interesting could come out of what they have I am sure. If anything a refresh of the fx would be helpful, although after a recent viewing of ROTS I did enjoy how the “offset” backgrounds suggested earlier Serials and Epic film in their stageiness.

Eh, I don’t think that’ll help anything. Same reason why I don’t like fan edits.
