Blurring the line, as you’ve been doing, between new user and troll is what mocks new users and erodes our willingness to help in general. Just hang out and chat with actual sentences, and leave the humor to Frink and the rest for a while till you see how things generally work here, and you might find that you can have a good time without pissing everyone off by confusing the Hell out of them.

OMG! It’s funny reading all these brutal comments and I’m thinking “There’s a whole different set of rules for Frink!?” You actually came right out and admitted it. This has become one of my least favorite communities. You all treat each other like crap, but especially new users. And I apologize for opening my mouth and continuing this in your thread Harmy… but that one just lit me up.

It is not that there is another set of rules for Frink, just that he’s an example of a person that is well established in the community (versus unknown, be that new user or a troll), and responds with sincerity when it really matters in addition to his extreme sarcasm, which we all have come to expect and understand. Dat_SW_Guy came in with newbish questions we genuinely tried to help with at first, and then he quickly devolved into self-admitted trolling with indecipherablely written “jokes” that no one but him even knew were supposed to be funny, if they even were supposed to be funny, in addition to riling people up by threatening to damage Harmy’s project by posting unapproved reencodes he was clearly not qualified to make. It quickly got to be a headache to even try to follow what he was saying, and every time he’d try to claim he was just an innocent new user, he’d immediately betray that and troll again. If that makes us react badly to him, I don’t see how that’s really surprising.
And maybe we’re a clique here, but we are open to letting in new people, as long as they give a damn about being part of our community.
I think a lot of us are not unwelcoming, but rather just a little weary of new users simply because a lot of what we do rides a very fine line between fair use and piracy, and one person who isn’t understanding or following the protocols we’ve set in place can easily mess it up for everyone. All it takes is one notice to Harmy, or towne32, or poita, or Adywan, etc, from lucasfilm/Disney/fox and we all can’t do these kinds of projects anymore. Or at least we couldn’t share them.
So when someone who we don’t know if we can trust or not comes in acting so unlike you’d expect a new user to, we are I think understandably a little defensive.

Download and install Imgburn but be careful NOT to select suspicious or unnecessary options while installing. I’ve never had a problem like others have, just be wary. Heres a link:

Hmm well it sucks at the moment that I don’t yet have a computer to at least view these on so I’m stuck watching the older letterboxed 95 VHS tapes until than, well either that or the "completely nonsense re-release of a re-release of the so called “special edition” on blu-ray. In case you guys are wondering what device I am using it is a smart phone.
