All four empire disks are done! Just uploading the docos disk now then I’ll release them all at once. I’ve already started work on Jedi ☺

Author

Did anybody else make any custom covers/disc art for these? I would really appreciate a two disc set of disc art for Star Wars.

Author
Time

I can easily do the ones I have, but I wanted to leave that honor for the Creator.

Yes I’ll certainly put them on myspleen, once the empire set is on Mega.

Author

The question is, how to put all 4 disks for each film on there without confusing the hell out of everyone, esp since the v1 blurays are still on there too. I’ll have to give that some thought.

Say something like this:

ESB DE 2.0 BD25: Just the Film
ESB DE 2.0 BD25: Just the Special Features
ESB DE 2.0 BD50: Film + Special Features + Bonus Commentaries
ESB DE 2.0 BD25: Documentaries

The third one doesn’t have the Bonus Documentaries.

Perhaps releasing them as

ESB Disc 1
ESB Disc 2
ESB Discs 1 and 2 (Combined as a BD50)
ESB Disc 3

but it does have bonus commentaries as clutchins said. but your misreading has a point, as others may do the same. besides, the doc disc is not specific to a film, but is for the trilogy. but yeah, names similar to these should be somewhat clear?

Oops, I completely misread that. No, I wouldn’t necessarily count on other people being as tired as I was and then making an assumption. 😃

But hold on a sec, because I think I’m still more confused than I was a week ago. I did think that the bonus docs disc was one for the trilogy. But, having watched it last night, it’s just documentaries for the first film, unless I missed an option to get to another menu screen.

The first page seems to confirm this:

Each film will have 4 options for download. (Recommended: Options 3+4)

Author
Time

Oops Yeah I was confused about that as well

I hate to be ‘that guy’ as the work you’re putting into these puts any official release of the Star Wars trilogy to shame. But there’s a spelling mistake in Chapter 22 - ‘Hungting’, and Chapter 23 - ‘Somone’. Other than that, stunning work! Thanks for all the effort you’re putting into these 😃

Lol. Can’t believe I missed those. Not sure It’s worth a complete re-upload unless major issues are discovered though. They can exist as quirks on page 2…

Just make note of it, since we expect ESB 2.5 sometime in the next year, i would say just make sure these are corrected when you update the disk for that version? Or are we thinking that we can just replace the video stream directly with the new one when ESB 2.5 is out?

If we’re pointing out typos, there’s an even more minor one for the Russian track in SW77 (a stray ]). Just for the ‘next time’ list, which would probably be several years in this case. 😃

Replacing the video stream would be the easiest option but not everyone will be inclined to do that. Happy to re-up once 2.5 is out if need be.

Especially those of us who can’t manage to get the stream replacement trick working. 😉

Are there menus for the Documentary discs for both SW & Empire? If so, any screens of those?

Author

Also are there any plans to include The Holiday Special on any releases just for historical purposes? 😃
