I don't see what good that would do me...unless I took back a sports almanac and gave it to the head of ABC.

Even better, use it to go back before 1998 and hire the mafia to give Ahmed Best an offer he can't refuse to not act in Episode I.

Then they probably would have gotten whoever played Snarf from Thundercats to play Jar Jar.

Actually I think the guy who voiced Snarf on Thundercats died a few years before Episode 1 was made.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Yeah, I would have to agree. Nothing like a last-ditch attempt to hold on to a floundering career, eh Sandra Bullock?

Why do you think her career is floundering?

(I'm not disagreeing. I haven't heard of her since the first MC.)

Well, I think she decided to do fewer movies and enjoy her private life more. But combined with that, she never really branched out much as an actress. She seemed content in her little romantic comedy niche, and now at 40 there's not much else for her to do. Just my 2 cents.

Windexed nailed it. She got herself stuck in a single mode of acting. She's been typecast. She's the cute, girl next door. She has tried other stuff, but to very diminished box office returns. Yes, early on she did action and whatnot (Speed, Demolition Man, etc.). But once she got in the romcom genre, she stuck. Now people can't see her doing anything else and it has hurt her. What was that horror thriller she did with Ryan Gosling a couple years ago? That bombed horribly. Nobody gave it a chance. But I'll bet ya, Miss Congeniality II will bank more in its first two weeks than that movie did its entire run no matter how bad a romcom it may be.

I would have to say that the only non-romcom role she's had in recent years that I found decent was A Time To Kill.

I'd agree, but judging from the trailers, MC2 looks more like a female cop-buddy flick than a romcom.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Yeah, it kinda does. I think I'm treating this one like the Bubonic Plague.

If they did more movies based on the works of JRR Tolkien's other , non-Hobbit/LOTR books (like "The Silmarillion"), would they be considered sequels?

Hobbit would be a prequel and I don't know enough about the other stuff to know what to call it in all honesty.

Silmarrion is like a history of Middle Earth, correct? I guess anything else would be considered prequels or side stories, since, as far as I know, LotR is the last thing to happen cronologically in middle earth.

Yeah, LOTR is supposed to be the be-all and end-all of Middle Earth. the other stories are window dressing, if you will.

Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

I don't think they could make a simarillion movie, there is just sooooooo much exposition/history and very little true dialogue or story.

A simarillion movie would be very nice, if they did it in a documentary way.
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

OK, but only because Orson Welles is dead.
