The nice thing about that set is he put the fonts and other poster art for the set so someone could customize them if they wished. I have the original variation were it has Despecialized Edition underneath each title. PM me if you want a copy…

I would LOVE to get a hold of the Film+Bonus 50GB disc!! If possible to get a non- English language track swapped for the isolated score music, this would be fantastic.

If the particular language track you are wanting is not included (although there are already many on the disk…), you can swap in the one you want using multiAVCHD. Unless you were suggesting that you wanted the Isolated score, in which case it’s already on there.

Work has started on the 50GB disk for The Empire Strikes Back. Please let me know if you aware of any great/unique/interesting special features ideas, as I’ll be collecting them over the coming week or so in preparation for building the disk.

Hi NJVC!
This is just the post that I have been looking for for so long now! I have been getting different sources together to do my own DE’s with menu, audio options and a bonus feature, but on a lot smaller scale than yours. Yours looks amazing by the way! My bro has Adobe CC and I have read that you have to revert Premiere Pro to CS6 to be able to use Encore. I have never embarked on anything like this before, so am an authoring virgin! I was talking to Han Duet about my project only the other week.
I was under the impression that I could only use 1 audio track, but this obviously isn’t the case. I would love to hear your thoughts on the process with Adobe and if you could give me any pointers, if that isn’t too cheeky?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Si

I also just noticed when I went through this thread that you are also using MultiAVCHD. I downloaded that a few weeks ago, but it frustrates the bejesus out of me! I have been trying to do the project through that, but it confuses me beyond belief!

I just watched the new BD50, or at least parts of it. I am VERY VERY impressed!! The background movie when the initial selections appear surprised me and brought a smile to myself. I forgot that was how the initial trailers described Star Wars!

Well done, virtual cookies for you!

MrPastry, the key to learning to use Encore is just bucket loads of patience. It is an under-serviced, and now ultimately defunct piece of software. It can create great menus, but it takes every ounce of will you have to not tear your hair out while learning the ropes. At least that was my experience! Try starting with some tutorials online, then shoot me questions if you have them via PM. I’d be happy to help where I can.

cybersage, great to hear it downloaded, extracted and burned successfully for you! Hope you enjoy it.

This may be the most accurate description of Adobe Encore ever. They should put this as the official description on their website.

Fantastic job on the BD50. Initially I had trouble playing it on my PS4 but I was able to get it playing right away on my PS3 and then it worked when I put it back in my PS4, so I think it must have just been a glitch with my PS4. Anxiously looking forward to the other films and the doc discs!

This is great and thanks a lot for all the hard work. And after all these original films are worth it. It’s like restoring the Mona Lisa after someone painted a mustache on her. Now I just need to find high speed and a blu ray burner. Tallyho! Oops, I mean, may the Force be with you

I certainly will, thank you. One question, I used TSMuxer and saved each film as a blu-ray folder (I think it saved as a .m2TS) with the audio options (the 3 DTS-HD audio options) that I want.
Will that work in Premiere Pro and Encore?
The reason I ask is because I am going to stay with my bro for a few days to do the project and will be taking the films on a flash drive, as I can’t take my PC. Will this be ok?

No, that won’t work with Prem or Encore very well. You can import .m2TS into PP and Encore, but Encore prefers 720p or 1080p MPEG2 or .h264. And neither program will accept DTS audio. A couple of suggestions

  1. Never let Encore do any transcoding for you. It bloats the files to crazy sizes. Give it everything it wants in the format it requires so that no transcoding is necessary.
  2. If you want to maintain the video and audio quality of the DE, use a temp video and audio track (MPEG2 and AC3), create your menus, then mux your x264 and DTS using multiAVCHD after you’re done with Encore.
  3. To create your temp video, export a 720p MPEG2 at about the same file size as the DE .h264. For your audio, you’ll need an external program to convert DTS to AC3 or WAV (if not too big). I use bigasoft audio converter.

I don’t want to turn this thread into a tech help, so perhaps you could post any further questions in a private message. Good luck!

If anyone here is curious, if you burn it to your BD-R disc, it won’t work on an Xbox One because it only reads blu-Ray mastered discs. Luckily I have a blu-ray player, but this is just a heads up for those who would use their Xbox.

Author

Damn that really sucks. I don’t have an xboxone but just that they would be so petty.

So you mean Xbox Ones won’t read any kind of custom-burned Blu-rays?

Yep. I remember the first Xbox pulled the same crap with CD-Rs (you could rip music to replace the music in some games, but only from official discs).

He suggested that there might be despecialized ones to use as a starting point. Was just saying there are quite a lot to choose from as far as that goes.

Heh yeah, lots to choose from is the problem. I like the suggestion benjay2345 made, are there any better ones? (These are nice as it has the templates and source artwork)

Here are links to a very good custom cover set.

https://mega.nz/#!owdRzYaQ!AkwyN6q54h9rmcl3oSNHXZ-Gw5xHb28S_zzOEuZaM64

This is a link to where you can download them directly. If someone could edit these covers and inserts to mesh with this release it would work very well. Use Jdownloader to download the links.

Thanks! i will check it out. not sure if i will have time to tackle this myself. But it looks like this is a great starting point for anyone!
