That’s okay because I’m pretty sure HansiG has done it at least 109 times on purpose.
Yep, and I don’t recall a single time it was funny.
If you ever get an error like this one when visiting the page, just try to post something, you may end up with a quadruple post. I created 4 identical threads that way when I was reporting it, but the additional copies were eventually deleted.

It can be funny … if you’re drunk … and suffering from sleep deprivation … while looking at your computer screen in a mirror.
First chance I get, I’m moving to Vancouver Island. I’ve had my fill of non-air conditioned Okanagan summers.
Point 1: Filthy Millennials
Point B: Imgur’s community. Just host my goddamn images, I don’t want to be part of another stupid community. Especially not one that’s the worst parts of Tumblr and Reddit and filled with previously-mentioned Millennials.

Point 1: Filthy Millennials
In my day we took a bath every day.
We didn’t shower because no such thing.
And that bath was uphill in the snow both ways.

WRONG MILLENNIUM!!
Point 1: Filthy Millennials
Are you saying that being a millennial makes one filthy or that some millennials are filthy and worth bitching about?
Yes.

As a millennial (and in the true spirit of millennialism) I am am offended.
I rest my case.

Ugh, the most vocal millennials are offended about everything. Anyone who wants a safe space should be expelled from their college immediately.
The Person in Question
Universities were taken over by commies in the 1960s so they’re breeding grounds for that kinda BS.

Most universities are Marxist to the core.
The Person in Question
Now I’m actually offended! (but not really?)
But really, yeah the PC “I’m offended!” attitude is taken too far by some (especially in the internet where everything is hyperbolized) but for the most part it’s people just treating others with respect where past generations have not. For our faults, I think millennials are mostly just working towards saying “can’t we all just get along?”
So yeah I actually am kind of annoyed when people bitch about millennials just because they want people to be nice to one another.
Also most universities are money-guzzling capitalist ventures.
A lot of the people in the universities are Marxist to the core. Marx and Engels’ filthy trash of a writing the Communist Manifesto is one of the most prescribed texts in Universities. The whole notion that everyone is oppressed by class is a Marxist notion as well, which is very prominent in university. Freedom of speech is also under attack primarily in university campuses. I think most millennials are opposed or indifferent to this attitude, but the most vocal are in full support of these retrograde notions.
The Person in Question
I think it’s very different when you’re on the outside looking in.
Just thinking about the ongoings at my school this past year there are really only a couple incidents that factor into free speech discussions. One involves basically some petty squabbling over Israel/Palestine (something I definitely do not want to get into) and there was some dubious actions happening on both sides. Some students were asked to leave a place and stuff but I’d argue that ultimately it was a minor free speech violation. The other thing that happened was there was some neo-Nazi propaganda placed around campus that was removed but that’s hate speech so A okay.
The biggest piece of free speech violation actually involved a prospective professor about a year ago who ended up not teaching (? I think) because of some tweets that some thought were racist but definitely were not. Of course, the irony here is that the most vocal people wanting this person to not work at my school were actually people online who did not even go to my school and were not even college aged.
The idea that universities are commie playgrounds and PC-loving, free speech squashing tyrants is basically a myth. In my experience the PC attitudes come from students and the university administrations aren’t even really listening.
As for class oppression, some things are taught because they are true.
I’m not sure where your college is, but we’ve seen free speech under direct assault at some of the biggest and often “prestigious” universities. Missouri, Yale, Harvard, UCLA, Rutgers, UMASS, Depaul, and the list goes on and on. Hate speak is a slippery slope too. Recently Black Lives Matter defaced a pro-police billboard and of course faced no consequences. The people attacking Milo Yiannopolous at every turn have not only been permitted, but also congratulated and encouraged.

I went to Berkeley. It was filled with a lot of very smart people with a lot of different viewpoints and agendas. Maybe it was because I wasn’t American or maybe it was because I don’t get involved in politics or whatnot but I saw no evidence of anything left or right being pushed on us or in the air generally. There was a lot going on but it wasn’t being directed.
Honestly, and I’m only speaking from my own limited experience here so I’m happy (and interested) to be proven wrong, the things you’re speaking of are only there to be found if you actively look for them and no more prevalent than anywhere else in the world.
1945: 19y olds are storming beaches with bullets flying by their faces, dying and murdering Nazis.
2016: 19y olds need safe spaces because words do hurt.
I was just about to leave for a very important assignation. I had to dress up a bit because the person I was meeting doesn’t respond well to my usually relaxed wardrobe decisions. My elbow catches the shaving device of him indoors and it falls to the ground and into dozens of tiny pieces. So I try to fit them back together but it’s like the current Doctor Whom titles and I’m flustered. On the way to my meeting I text him apologetically and offer to buy him a new one but get no reply. I find a nice new one with two thirds of the price knocked off which loads £5 onto his store loyalty card. The meeting goes on forever and I miss the bus home so I have to get the train which is cancelled and a taxi. I get in and he’s shimmying around the floor to Private Dancer. Pished as a poodle. I needn’t have bothered about the shaver as he only used the beard trimmer to get rid of those weird middle age hairs that grow anywhere that hair shouldn’t… a good day. 😃
That’s not a good day, that’s an awesome day (and would probably work as a sitcom too)!
I hate those bloody posts on facebook that put some horrific picture of a child dead or in peril and demand you like and share with an amen. Or tell you that “haters” will scroll passed.
A pox on them all.
It’s not even a prayer. It’s a facebook share with a typed word.
1 like = 1 prayer
One as meaningless as the next.
