I had mentioned Jaws. Here’s some screen grabs from the 2005 DVD and the 2012 BD. A bit tough to spot but the first example shows a wire balancing the buoy on the '05 DVD (look closely to the right of the buoy).

Second might be a bit tough to spot but to the far left is a sailboat on the horizon on the '05 DVD.

I had mentioned Bride of Frankenstein. Last night I noticed a similar change to a shot in the first film. This occurs in the shot of Henry and Fritz wheeling the slab with the corpse towards the gallows. It’s a bit complicated to explain but I’ll do my best.

In this shot there’s a pointed rock formation we see in the foreground which our guys pass under as they go up the hill. Just before Henry is about to pass under, it jumps to them partially further up the hill. In every release prior to 2012 (I checked this on the 1991 VHS and 2006 DVD) this either looks as if they cut to a different shot or perhaps it had been a continuous shot but a few seconds of footage was either cut or lost. On the BD, the framing has been altered and some digital altering may have been done so it now ‘almost’ looks like a continuous shot but yet our guys still noticeably jump farther up the hill.
