Sure. If I understand correctly, the French GOUT subtitles are unique. Nearly every home video release (VHS, Laserdisc, GOUT, etc) got a fresh new translation – some good, some bad, and none of them matched the theatrical subtitles. I’ve heard a lot of complaints about the French GOUT subs, so I imagine they’re not the best of the bunch – but DVDs are easy to rip, so everyone uses the GOUT subs anyway. I’d be happy with any corrections.

Harmy, I have a question about the future v3.0. I know that the current plans for that release are to upscale all three films to HD. But, as for the question, do you plan Mike Verta for some footage from his Legacy Edition Restoration, in order to incorporate it into that release? I know it might be a little too much to ask, since you have given so much to the community already, and on top of that, all the legal issues of Mike’s restoration, due to his proximity to the film industry. Just a small suggestion. Thanks for the consideration.

drifiting a bit off-topic, you can actually see David Prowse behind the Darth Vader (like you already know 😐) just a little thing I spotted while watching 2.7.

What do you want to say with this? The goal of Despecialized is to recreate the theatrical version, not to “fix” it. If Prowse was visible in theaters in 1980, he should be visible in Despecialized. Things like this make people think you’re trolling.
Or did you want to post this in Adywan’s Revisited thread?

Anyway Harmy I noticed in 2.5 that if I freeze a frame of Mark Hamill, tweak the contrast, and then photoshop his mouth upside down it looks a little bit mental. I then popped in Empire 2.0 to see if I could recreate the issue and sure enough it looks like that release is affected as well.

I popped in my legit retail BD of Lethal Weapon to see if it had the same problem and it wasn’t as bad but then I also photoshopped Mel Gibson’s eyes so they were looking in different directions and I could start to tell it had the same problem too.

Just a quick heads up, don’t know if this can be taken care of in 3.0 or not.

By the way In 2.5 you can see a blue sky.
And in 2.7 Han shot first.

Look closely in 2.7, brighten up the contrast, and you can see the sandcrawler is from the GOUT.

3.0 will of course have a multi angle feature for different color styles.
