They should’ve just gotten the ILM guys who did the PT to add lightsabers to the OT if they felt a need to redo it. Either that or just left it as it was in 1997. I can’t really understand how anyone could have looked at those shots, which are the most iconic thing about Star Wars, and decide that it wasn’t still a work in progress. The PT had no noticeable issues with lightsaber color consistency or brightness, and George seemed to be into the idea of consistency between the trilogies.

Frankly whoever CCd the prequels should have been in charge of the OT. They should have finished ROTS and put all hands on the DVD.
