I saw that in Wal-Mart the other day; I'm not sure if anything is actually different from the original release.

Are you referring to the deleted scene that was added back in? That was done for the original DVD release.

THE INCREDIBLES REVIEW

THE TONS OF EXTRAS ARE WORTH THE PRICE ALONE. PICTURE QUALITY IS FANTASTIC @ 2.39:1 ASPECT RATIO. THE DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 SURROUND EX MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'RE WATCHING IT AT THE MOVIE THEATER ALL OVER AGAIN. THE "JACK-JACK ATTACK" SHORT WHICH RUNS 4 MINUTES 47 SECONDS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE FUNNIEST SHORTS I'VE SEEN OUT OF PIXAR.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE BUY.

ALFIE REVIEW

BELIEVE IT OR NOT THE ALFIE DVD IS PACKED FULL OF EXTRAS. THE PRODUCERS OF THIS DVD DID A GREAT JOB OF GIVING THE ORIGINAL ALFIE WHICH STARRED MICHAEL CAINE A NICE HOMAGE. MOST OF THE SPECIAL FEATURES USE THE ORIGINAL AS ITS SOURCE. I MUST SAY THAT THEY DID A DAMN GOOD JOB. IT HAS A NICE WIDESCREEN FORMAT (ASPECT RATIO WAS NOT REVEALED) WITH DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 SURROUND SOUND.

THIS IS A BUY.

TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX HOME ENTERTAINMENT WILL INCLUDE A FREE MOVIE TICKET FOR THE FANTASTIC FOUR IN BRAND NEW DOUBLE-DISC COLLECTOR'S EDITIONS OF I, ROBOT, THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, AND MAN ON FIRE. THESE SET ARE DUE OUT IN MAY. EACH SET IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE MORE SPECIAL FEATURES THAN THEIR ORIGINAL DVD RELEASES. YOU'LL ALSO GET DELETED SCENES THAT WERE NOT INCLUDE ON THE ORIGINALS AS WELL. NOW THAT I'VE REPORTED THIS NEWS TO YOU EXPECT OCEAN'S 12 AND CLOSER TO HAVE SPECIAL EDITION DVD RELEASES FURTHER DOWN THE LINE.

I'VE BEEN A BIT BEHIND ON THIS AND A COUPLE OF OTHER THREADS, BUT REST ASSURED I'LL HAVE SOME REALLY GOOD NEWS TO POST FOR EVERYBODY HERE IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

I'm really getting tired of this double-dipping crap from Fox and CTHE. Why not just release the deluxe versions @ the same time? We know they're ready because other regions had them.

I agree entirely! At least Fox had the right idea once upon a time... they would release the nice 'collector's' editions FIRST, then later when sales dropped they would re-release in a cheaper, single-disc version for the more casual movie buyer. But not now. I almost *always* wait a bit to see/hear if a better edition is coming out. Or I just buy the better edition from Amazon.UK (shipping isn't bad to the USA really).
