You actually hear the theme twice :

At 0:24 played by (I think) the G flute (alto flute). It is indeed lovely because of the violin “contrechant” ("Counter-melody in English ?).
At 3:26 played by the French Horn.

Also notice the force theme (played by the bass clarinet I would say) at 4:58. Lovely too 😃
