My one request: edit Jar Jar Binks out of all of the sequences on Tatooine. With his high-pitched voice, his constant clumsiness, and his cartoonish face in almost every shot, it is difficult to enjoy the movie.

It may or may not be possible, but it would make the movie a thousand times better.

Also, I like the chosen one prophesy, and I have a feeling it will be referenced in Episode VIII. Luke may have traveled to the first Jedi temple in order to research the prophesy. Additionally, the Jedi Order is a religious order with mystical powers, and a belief in prophesy is consistent with that. So I would not cut the prophesy, especially since it is likely to be referenced in future Star Wars films.

Well, it’s a bit late for that. I can’t do much about his face, but Jar-Jar will have a new voice, if that helps.

And if you like the chosen one prophecy, there are dozens of fan edits out there that keep it. I don’t hate the prophecy, but I like the idea of everything essentially having chaotic consequences, instead of it all being foretold. And honestly, removing the prophecy in Episode I only required the removal of like three or four lines, so is it really that important to the plot?

As for the potential reference in Episode VIII…well, I’ll cross that road if and when I get there. These edits are meant to blend the PT more seamlessly into the OT (which is another reason I removed the “chosen one” prophecy), not necessarily the ST. If Episode VIII calls back to the prophecy (which I really doubt, to be honest), then I’ll probably release updated versions of my prequel edits to reflect the reference. But until then, there will be no mention of the prophecy in my edits. At least, not directly.
