But i hate it when people password usenet uploads. It's a trend that has been going for a few years now. What is the point of it apart from getting people to sign up to their forums? Usenet was better when people wanted to share with everyone, not just a select few.

Passwording the file so even the creator of the damn edit can't even get it just stinks. Why come back here to announce it's out but fail to give anyone the password?
Yeah, I've got to agree with you guys, there's nothing that I hate more than passworded releases on usenet, its so pointless IMHO, it goes against everything that usenet is meant to stand for. If you want to share something, share it, if you don't, don't, simple as that, no need for this password nonsense.
