What boggles my mind is how back in 2011 Spielberg said there would be NO more alterations to his films yet they do this. One of the guys in charge of the Jaws restoration said ‘Steven wants to keep it true to the original’. Then how is upscaling a mix that sounds NOTHING like the original keeping true to the original?? Thats like having a pink house which one day gets painted black. Then one day the owner says ‘I want go back to the original’ but instead does pink polka dots. Just puzzles me but thats Hollywood for you. Audio aside, I also noticed two digital alterations as well. First the wire balancing the buoy in Chrissie’s death scene is gone and also a small glint of a sailboat seen on the horizon later in the film was removed.
