Mysterious Mysteries cover?

Has anyone made a DVD cover specific to the Mysterious Mysteries edition? If the case is (as I suspect it is) that there is no existing cover, where can I get high quality art?

Hey there!

Welcome to the forum!

Just to let you in - I was contacted by the creator[s] of the set and it's OFFICIAL name for the set is THE EditDroid Trilogy (read into the torrents thread for greater details)

One of the creators did make covers and I hope to get them soon so I can post them with the next release

You might also still be able to get all the covers and disc art (yes, for all three films!) from a.b.starwars on Usenet -- probably you'll need a premium server. If this doesn't make any sense to you, then don't worry about it and wait for Rikter to post. If he says he will, he will.

I went ahead and sent Rik the covers that the EditDroid creator(s) posted on a.b.starwars. I didn't see this topic until yesterday. He has them which means that everyone else should have them soon.

Rikter, your RAR contains only the JPG's but doesn't contain the original TIF's or the PDF case inserts
posted to alt.binaries.starwars the previous day. Do you need them ???

Did anybody score the JACKET_P images yet ?

Thanx 4 the covers. But why do you make the disc labels with a big hole?
I quess that it wouldn't cost too much to cut a smaller hole in the center, for people that print in covers with tiny center holes. After all, if someone would want a bigger hole, it is no big deal to cut the middle hole for himself, when the other way around is apparently not possible...
And now, for your feature presentation:
The Classic Re-re-re-release of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back.
In this version the word "WOOKIE" has been changed to "HAIR CHALLENGED ANIMAL" and the entire cast has been digitally replaced by Ewoks.

These were emailed to me and only included a UPDATE by the original poster - I would love to get the TIFFS to include in the Jedi release!

I thought that the EditDroid creator discarded the TIFFs because of color incorrectness. If I read his post on a.b.starwars wrong and deleted the TIFFs unnecessarily I'll definitely need them again myself.

TIA

The TIFFs were posted by the creator over on a.b.starwars.

They were then converted to JPEG format and posted as a link here on ot.com.

The creator was not happy with the quality of these so he posted his own JPEG conversion on a.b.starwars.

I may have them, I will have to have a look..............

There you'll find the .TIF and .PDF files, all from usenet.

Think about it a second. IIRC, these sets we made two or three years ago, before hub printable discs were available. If you look at the composition of the graphics on the label, they're clearly laid out for the roughly 39 mm hole on non-hub printable media.

The "bad JPG conversions" were only up for a few hours on February 08.
The website which had them (for only a few hours), Now has the correct JPG's (same as Rikter's RAR has inside)

You need LEGAL paper (8.5x14") paper not the standard regular paper

PRINT SIZE - width 10.8 X height 7.293 @300 dpi. AND Yes when printed on a bad-a$$ laser printer (like the Fiery XJ) the DVD cover look G-R-E-A-T! VERY real and VERY Professional!

Here is the specs on the cover sizes

All keepcases use the same size cover for the front and back 'the face' (1535 x 2188 pixels), the only thing that changes is the spine width.

COVER SIZES + SPINE SIZE

single: 3240 x 2188 pixels (spine: 170 pixels)

did the creators of the editdroid trilogy ever hear of allow for things like, the proper bleed, with those covers.

The text on that must have less than 1 pixel from the edge of the cover art.

a pain to cut.

The copies I have look terrific with plenty of space around the text. Are you sure you're, like, printing properly?

My copies also have plenty of space on edges and fill the DVD case. easy to cut.
