I am having computer problems yet again. On Wednesday night, I left my computer to eat dinner. Everything seemed fine. After dinner, I returned to my computer to find that it the firefox had frozen. It said “program not responding” at the top of the screen. It wouldn’t let me bring up taskmaster. It wouldn’t let me shut firefox down. It wouldn’t let me do anything. I felt the only option I had left was to hit the power button. Which I did. Now, I can’t get the computer to start up properly. It kept going into this thing called “start up repair” I let that run and run and run and it wasn’t doing anything. I then tried to restore windows from an earlier date. That didn’t work. It kept on saying “System Restore failed while copying the registry from the restore point. The registry in the restore point was damaged and could not be restored.” Right now, I have checkdisk running on it. It has been running overnight. It keeps saying “file record segment” and here it gives five digit number “is unreadable”. I fear the harddrive was somehow damaged, even though it is not yet a year old(it is ten months old). Any advice would be appreciated. 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦
