Didn’t Temeura Morrison literally phone it in, as in he recorded the Boba Fett lines over the phone? He was never a charismatic actor, but that just feels like they were going out of their way to make it lame. In any case, I’m of the opinion that it would make more sense for Fett to have a different voice anyway. If you’re this amazingly effective bounty hunter working in the underworld, I would think you’d want to do everything in your power to not look and sound exactly like all those clones from 20 years ago. Granted, he’s constantly wearing that very distinctive armor so it’s unlikely that he’ll ever be able to move around anonymously (unless he doesn’t use it for every job as someone suggested a few posts back), but still, I’d think he’d want to start crafting his personal legend that he leans on so heavily with a clean slate rather than being “that clone guy”. I’ve seen the argument made that he wouldn’t change his face or voice out of respect for his father, but I don’t think Boba Fett is that sentimental. Not my Boba Fett, anyway.
