Guessing you’ve tried VLC already?

From what I can tell, “twoflower” is just the codename of VLC itself as of 2.0, so it sounds like your installation is just generally broken. But I’m not an expert on VLC or codecs.

Maybe you just have a bad computer virus? Or maybe you’re trying to use it while it’s completely submerged in water? Or maybe you’re 90 years old and communicating to us all through “the AOL”? Seriously, this is a calamity of errors. 😃

I don’t understand yet if 2.7 is the real color, or almost but not quite at the real original movie, or realy the real color of the movie like it was in 1977. Someone know ? 😃

I have the same questions about ESB 2.0 and ROJ 2.5. Because some peoples say in ROJ the color is too green (Sarlacc scenes). (but I still like that)

The short, simple answer is we don’t know, but 2.7 is definitely closer than 2.5.

As for ESB and ROTJ, we probably will never know for sure since there isn’t a reliable color reference to base things off of.

Same for SW as far as I’m concerned.

I make no claims as to accuracy for 2.7, nor did I want to.

😕 so the real pictures is lost for ever I suppose. Is sad 😦 But do you know what will change with 3.0 ? Because the colors of SW, ESB and ROJ are perfect. Exept if the next change will be only an images resolution.

3.0 will be 1080p and contain zero GOUT footage. The biggest difference will be from SW 2.7 to 3.0. Though I removed most of the shots that were 100% GOUT (some quick shots of ships in the final Death Star battle wouldn’t have looked too much different substituting SSE for GOUT), there are plenty of shots that use GOUT elements mixed with blu-ray elements. AFAIK, those will all be updated. Furthermore, it is likely that a better 35mm scan than the TN1 scan will be used that will make everything even better.

The differences for ESB and Jedi going from 2.5 to 3.0, as I understand it, will be further adjusted blu-ray color correction, and a bit more cleanup/matching of the 35mm sources. More modest changes than SW, aside from the 1080p factor. Harmy is doing his 2.5 35mm work at 1080p, so it should be much less work to upgrade V and VI in theory. The blu-ray work for those two is still only at 720p, though.
