Actually, the mono track is almost or entirely from a single source–an OTA TV broadcast. I think h_h modified the Fox fanfare at some point, but that’s it. The mono track hasn’t been changed at all in a very long time–I’d be very surprised if the 2.7 track wasn’t bit-identical to the 2.5 track. I tried an ill-advised attempt to merge with non-Dolby 35mm captures at some point, but it thankfully never made it into this project. My only guess is that maybe you’re hearing the lossy core of the lossless track this time, due to a DTS-MA decoder issue in the playback software.

Interesting. When I first listened to the mono track, I assumed what I was interpreting as seams in the audio was due to how they actually dubbed Beru’s lines. But later, a comment I read on the forum made me think it was just the reconstruction of the track. Guess I was wrong!

I suppose I could try again if an ISO file of version 2.7 becomes available. For the most part, I just use Power2Go. For Despecialized 2.7, I had to use ImgBrn.

Hmm. Are you glossing over the tsmuxer (or other remuxing) step or have you actually been talking about the AVCHD? If the latter, it is still coming directly from 2.5. However, I assume of course that you are comparing 2.5 AVCHD to 2.7 AVCHD and not doing something silly like comparing the mkv of one to the AVCHD of the other. 😃
