If I could only get the Broccoli's to return my calls and read my treatment I could actually fix a lot of what has come unglued in the franchise. But that's just wishful thinking.
Meanwhile, I'm not holding my breath that they're going to improve the franchise in the next outing. But I'll probably still enjoy the film as decent popcorn-munching fare.
The obligatory list, fave to least fave:
Goldfinger (Is there any other choice?)
From Russia With Love
Thunderball
Tomorrow Never Dies (best-developed and best-cast female characters in the entire series)
Goldeneye (best chase ever!)
For Your Eyes Only
Licence to Kill (best reference to his dead wife)
Dr. No
You Only Live Twice
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (Best ending ever ... if only Connery had done this one, what a movie it would have been).
The Man With The Golden Gun (Best villian ever, worst henchman ever)
The Spy Who Loved Me (great movie, awful soundtrack)
The Living Daylights (ditto. Ah-Hah? WTF were they thinking???)
Never Say Never Again (I do count this one)
Diamonds Are Forever (Redheads are forever!)
Octopussy
Die Another Day
A View To A Kill
The World Is Not Enough (Denise Richards singlehandedly ruins what could have been a perfect Bond film)
Moonraker (Did they even READ the book?)
Live and Let Die (Bond is NOT Shaft!)
