Maybe stop deflecting the blame and own up to the fact that this site is slowly turning into an elitist hive-mind.
This is a place where people come because, generally, they share some opinions that are fairly niche these days in mainstream fandom (and becoming more so by the year). It is not surprising that they have similar, yet not identical, opinions. You have made some valid points in your arguments, and you have made some seemingly stressed out emotional and unreasonable ones (and I have done similarly when stressed with some of the members here). But it would be easier to take your comments seriously if you stopped abusing the phrase “hive mind” when you mean approximately “consensus” in this community. You’re treating people’s opinions as if they are not their own. You can expect people to be upset by that. New-PT-forum jokes aside, there are many major SW sites and forums to discuss the SE and PT favorably. Being critical of them, in many communities, is going out of style rapidly.
I made an error and broke a rule and owned up to it, but almost every other link I click on I see you bashing someone or making fun of them for not sharing your opinion on art. You don’t even bother discussing it with them, you just jump straight to making fun of them. Who does that?

Frink teases fairly relentlessly. I used to share your view, somewhat, but his jokes are generally playful. I agree that it’s very easy for newbs to get the wrong idea and see it as hostile. He lays it on a bit too much, too often. And I agree that he often does it in lieu of saying anything meaningful. But there’s an obvious difference between him and the people spouting homophobic, misogynistic, racist nonsense.
As far as the more moderate “trolls” go, there are people who (unlike you) do not simply have different views on the PT. They are here as crusaders to argue for the PT/SE in any thread they can find. They were probably linked here from theforce.net or somewhere and are fighting for George’s honor. They know what’s coming to them, and that’s fine. It would be the same if I joined theforce.net and spammed every thread about how the OOT is supreme and the rest is trash. I would expect a harsh reaction and perhaps eventual banning if it became clear that I was there only to post such crap in the wrong places.
