I honestly can’t understand why a riff being lifted from something else would have any impact on your listening to a song. Especially if you really like this song, why would you just stop listening to it simply because they didn’t necessarily write the whole thingWell in the case of “Expendable Youth” it’s pretty much the main (and best) riff in the song so there’s not much point in listening to it if when before I found out the riff was stolen I listened to that song pretty much only for that riff.
I still happily watch Ghostbusters and enjoy the catchy theme, even though the riff is lifted off of “I Want A New Drug”
Well movies and songs are apples and oranges. There’s still more for the film to offer even the original soundtrack isn’t wholly original.
I’m also curious what your opinion of covers is now.
I don’t have a problem with covers because it’s paying homage in the most overt way and most people do it for fun and not for profit.
South of Heaven is the last good Slayer album anyway.
Reign in blood isn’t that good of an album either. I mean it has 3 or 4 AMAZING songs (Angel of Death, Raining Blood, Altar of Sacrifice) but as an album overall it’s quite boring and repetitive in my opinion.
Hell Awaits… Now THAT’S an album.
Oh wait, Frink doesn’t like it so it’s all garbage.
