I honestly prefer 2.0 surround (sent through DPLII) over discreet surround. Don’t ask me why but i just like the way Dolby surround sounds and the surround effects are almost the same.I just feel like music, sound effects, and dialogue blend better that way. He’ll my old star wars vhs tapes (the vhs counterpart to the 'Definitive Collection LDs) have great surround sound through pl. Obviously the overall audio quality isn’t as crisp because its vhs but the surround effects are, to me, just as immersive.
