Super Mario RPG is fantastic. It’s much more of an ‘authentic’ Mario themed rpg than it’s paper sequels. Not surprising since it’s made by square. And it’s hilarious. But it has a much more in depth approach than paper Mario, it’s kind of like a watered down humorous Mario themed final fantasy parody.

It has a walking talking cloud who thinks he’s a frog. Complete with a full soap opera cutsceme for the revelation that this frog isn’t his real grandpa. That’s just good material.

The laptop I’m currently using is slowly but surely nearing the end of its life. First got it sometime in 2008, only began using it regularily in 2010(?), it’s served me well. For the last several months now, though, I’ve gone through several Blue Screens of Death, freezes, and a screen that constantly flickers red everytime I open or close the thing.

Stop watching so much porn, or at least find one safe site and stick with it.

Any piece of consumer electronics that lasts more than a few years is a miracle these days.

Last month was the 30th anniversary of buying my first Laserdisc player. It still runs as good as the day I bought it. (It was a display model actually manufactured in 1983.) And I just watched an LD on it last night.

These days, I only fire it up when using it for a DVD capture though.

My snes still works perfectly as well. And my grandma has a VCR from 1987 that still works perfectly. I mean it has manual tracking and can only access the mono track of a tape, and can only go up to channel 13, but for the features it was built with it works perfectly.

But it’s a VCR so who gives a sh*t.

They were a lot more beefy in their construction back then. A lot of us still have VCR’s around for video capture purposes. The tuners are useless now. I have five in total. All mostly work.

All of my video game systems from NES to Gamecube work perfectly, and I doubt I’ll ever have a problem with them.

I woke up this morning at 7:20 AM, which was 25 minutes before I needed to awaken, so I drifted back to sleep. I had a lovely dream that felt as though it were hours worth of activity and adventure, and upon awakening I was concerned that I had slept through my alarm, but I had only been asleep for 4 minutes. Very strange.

Dream time and real time aren’t related to each other.
