With people dubbing over Jar Jar in their fan edits to make him a better character, here’s an idea, why not make him a grounded realist, the Han Solo of the prequel trilogy, basically the polar opposite of what he is in the actual version. I thought of this while reading this article, specifically the part about the PT needing a Han Solo.
That’s a good idea actually, he could play the straight man.
That’s kind of what I’m trying to do in my edit. Though he’s peppered with elements of Lando, as well. Like, if Han and Lando had a Gungan lovechild with a moral code (in order to repay a life debt to QGJ), then that’s my Jar Jar. Or at least, that’s what I’m trying to accomplish.
