I’ll give it a shot on the basis that you seem to want to talk about other problems with the film that aren’t discussed much or at all. I certainly need to hear some new criticisms because “rehash/remake/reboot” has gotten staler than 3 week old dog shit.

Agreed. The rehash argument is so old. There is some validity but for the most part I was fine with the elements it borrowed except Starkiller base. Everyone has made up their mind on how much the similarities bother them and I personally think for the most part I welcomed the similarities.
Yeah I can’t even tell you how many “TFA is a rehash and Rey is a Mary Sue” comments I’ve read since the film came out…
They needed to rekindle a new beginning for both the new characters and the audience. Episode 8 and 9 I believe don’t have this burden and further plot similarities would not be as welcome.
Exactly. Most people are mad that they catered to new fans as well as old. As if ushering in new Star Wars fans is a bad thing. It’s a bunch of entitlement is what that is.
But other gripes with the film are now of more interest for me to hear out.
It’s at least worth a listen just to hear something different. You might come away agreeing with some of his posts.
