And if David Cronenberg (Scanners, Videodrome, Rabid, 1986-The Fly) had directed, we probably would have heard Vader and Luke having a philosophical debate over "the flesh".

LUKE: "Father, you must re-embrace the flesh!"
VADER: "I have no further need for the flesh."

LUKE: "Father..."
VADER/ANAKIN: "Son... you were right about the flesh."
