Another semi-update:
Well, since our team did not debate today, we got to see others debate and am pretty confident NOW that I will do okay. We’re allowed to stand in back of class, so that takes a lot of anxiety out of the picture. Not to mention our topic has concise points, the debates that happened today really dragged out and both groups were at least 5-10 minutes over time.
Didn’t attempt my other scenario yet, but someone touched on trust my feelings instead of luck. Well, my feelings say it will be okay, but I don’t want to be in for a huge disappointment if I’m wrong. Let’s hope I’m not. I’m losing my nerve quite honestly and then I think it’ll be fine.
Either way, I’ll survive for sure, it’s just… ehhh… I think I need a drink.
