Joining in a bit late maybe but saying John Wayne is overrated is a little silly. While he’s certainly one of the most popular actors ever most probably wouldn’t consider him one of the best. In fact, I feel like the topic of his acting in regards to films such as The Searchers and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance is something along the lines of “John Wayne is actually really great in that movie.” He definitely had his moments. True Grit was not one of them. The 2010 film is much better.
Also yes, the forums suck now. I feel like they were much better even just a few years ago. Of course complaining about the forums sucking now is such an often occurrence that it has become one of the many reasons why the forums suck now.
