Though I like the way Han died in TFA I’m starting to wonder if him dying in ESB would have been more impactful. I’m leaning towards the former though.

The carbonite scene with the music, the “thud” and the image of Han’s hands in a claw trying to climb out of the slab was how I fell in love with filmmaking. What craft. That may have been a great way to end Han’s character, but from a selfish perspective I’m glad he appeared in the following two films.
