College is really a bitch.
Perhaps you’ve heard this before, but it’s not really. You have more free time now than you will have afterwards, you just don’t realize it yet.
As a recent college grad, I second this.
Unless you’ve already done so, just wait until you start a family.
Yea, it’s just me at the moment. The thought of starting a family kind of terrifies me at this point in my life.
You can always carve out time to sit in front of a screen editing Star Wars for several hours.

-Jedi Steps/Force Theme at end
-Kylo Rens Theme
I find these three are the most redeeming pieces of the soundtrack. Rey’s theme is a unique and beautiful composition. Same for Jedi Steps, mainly because it ends the film so well. And Kylo Rens theme also gives him a personal and recognizable theme. Just curious and am fine and supportive of whatever you choose to do. Thanks again !

Lol, yeah, the movie had a lot of positives to it, and I’m just trying to maximize my enjoyment of it. I might make two edits where one is not as severe of an edit.

Well it’s your edit and you can do whatever you want with it. It’s just someone like me might not enjoy it as much because I really enjoyed the original product. If anything I’ll still watch it for perspective and for inspiration about what music to add to my edit. Speaking of music I think “Anakin vs Obi-Wan” would work great in the Rey vs Kylo duel.

Either way the music changes so far are looking/sounding very good, I especially like the induction of the TPM score, much better than what we actually got.
I’m looking forward to this one.

Probably not because it’s 2016 and there’s always someone who hates something but it would be a really obscure opinion.
My only issue with the color correction is with the opening craw and end credits, other wise the film does not need it…
In the theatre I instantly was like “stars are too blue”. But overall I really enjoyed the colors of the force awakens, vibrant yet natural

As it pertains to her character I guess it’s one of those “[insert topic here] is not as good as what came before thus it’s bad” type of thinking that the internet has becone fond of in the last few years. Also we all look at Luke from his portrayal in ROTJ had we only had SW our outlook on Luke would not filled with as much praise. Especially considering that Rey in TFA was a better written character than Luke in SW in my opinion.

No, not close yet. I’m still going through all the audio channels and manually picking out the sound effects. It’s annoying, but can’t wait to see the results on some scenes.
Also, a main character can be mysterious, as long as they mystery is explained or revealed by the end.

Also let’s not forget Luke’s origin was revealed in ESB which was a sequel.
But it wasn’t that much of a mystery. We were told enough to be satisfied, whereas Rey’s backstory is literally 100% unrevealed. Anyways, I don’t wanna turn my Fan Edit thread into a discussion thread, but that’s just my thought on it.
