You’d have to ignore a lot of shortcomings to come to such a conclusion. Such as:

Ewoks and the effect they have on the pacing
Ewoks (somehow) being instrumental in the Battle of Endor
Luke going back to Degobah to “complete” his training but then is told he already knows what he needs so that Yoda can have a forced death scene
Not getting an explanation as to how Luke got so powerful between ESB and ROTJ without finishing his training
Making Ben into a liar and attempting to justify said lying
Luke finds out Leia is his sister out of no where
Leia being Luke’s sister is not only gross but it creates a plot hole in STAR WARS because how could Vader not sense she was Force Sensitive when he tortured her?
Death Star rehash that’s way more overt than Star Killer Base
Luke’s “temptation” is only Palpatine saying “Your friends are going to die”

Do I even need to continue?

TFA has it’s fair share of problems but a lot of them aren’t surface layer stuff like in ROTJ and a lot of the complaints I’ve heard about the film were from people who were nitpicking or didn’t understand the film at all.
