Ripping the audio and video from the Rinzler extended ebooks?

So, yeah, I guess the title of the post is pretty self explanatory. How can I rip everything from the extended ebooks I got off amazon so I can actually watch them on my computer and use the footage in fanedits?

I don’t know if it’s possible to crack the amazon versions, but for the apple store release you need an ios 5 apple ipad/ipod/iphone along with requiem 3.3.6 and iTunes 10.5.3.
I don’t know that anyone ever did this after it was discussed on the old thread. At this point it wouldn’t cost too much money to get an old ipad 1 to do the job.

Well, I managed to strip my amazon copy of it’s drm and convert it to an epub file (I don’t know if that would be necessary for what I’m trying to accomplish). That’s all that requiem would do for the Apple versions, right? How exactly would I go about getting everything as files I can uses for editing is sony vegas? Or can you direct me to some forum or thread that explains how?

As far as I know, you can just change the file extension from .epub to.zip and extract the avc videos you want. I don’t use Vegas, so I can’t help you there. You can always decode to 4:2:0 avi with dgAVCdecode and avisynth.

Oh my god, so get this: The audio and video files weren’t imbedded inside the epub at all, nor were they at all included with the Kindle for pc release. I had to get a program called iTools to look inside my iPhone, and somewhere inside the Kindle folder there was a big folder with all the mp3 and mp4 files just sittin’ there. Perfect for Vegas.

Thank you for your help, schorman13 ^-^
