And if they all talked with a California surfer accent, nobody would even notice the eyes.
That brings up another thing. Why are only certain stereotypes/caricatures considered ‘racist’, while others are given a free pass with no crap? For example, in the animated film Flushed away, there is an American stereotype (a fat Texan with a thick southern accent, and he knows nothing about British culture and is generally dull). Do I find this stereotype offensive (being an American)? No, I find it funny, because I get the joke. (This part is kind of off topic, sorry 😄)
