but she’s not wrong about Luke.

Luke left because he felt guilty for the destruction of his students and not because he’s whiny. Han even says as much but that’s not even the point. Luke doesn’t give up; it’s just not in his character and if they don’t write in another reason as to why he left (like training more Jedi in secret) then I can never look at the character the same way again.

And what’s funny is that I have heard people use that against Luke (and now Rey by extension) as if everyone would be willing to jump right into the pond so to speak without consideration.
