"Jake Lloyd, famous for playing young Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

The Star Wars actor has been moved from jail to a psychiatric facility, after his mum revealed he suffers from the mental illness.

Jake was arrested in June last year after leading the police on a high-speed chase in South Carolina, exceeding speeds of 100mph."

‘Other children were really mean to me,’ he said. ‘They would make the sound of the lightsaber every time they saw me. It was totally mad.

‘My entire school life was really a living hell – and I had to do up to 60 interviews a day.’
