Well the visual cut is pretty obvious. Are there not separate audio channels in which you can edit?
Sorry if I’m just confused (can’t watch right now) but it sounds like you’re mixing up audio and video again.
Am I?

Beats me, you said the visual cut is obvious and then asked about audio.
I read the follow up but I didn’t understand it.
The best and most underused birthday present I have ever received.
As it pertains to your V2 it’s much better in my opinion. A couple of audio quirks are better than noticeable video cuts any day of the week in my book
My issue isn’t with the actual editing but the idea of preserving the twist. Since almost everyone knows it and it’s not that big of a twist removing an entire conservation with Snoke, and Kylo saying Grandfather is too much to sacrifice for preserving a twist. The Vader helmet scene is improved with the “Grandfather” line because it shows you what Kylos misunderstanding is when it comes to the legacy of his lineage. And the Snoke scene further deepens the pressure on Kylo to not give in. It lets us know Snoke personally addresses that Kylo better not shy away from doing what’s necessary. (Killing Han)
yeah I tried to get the audio as perfect as I could.
Ok, got it after watching the clip. Yeah, having that little jump in there screams “edit.”

True. I am going to see how it goes with the few people who will be testing the first draft and then decide from there.

Check out the second version its not perfect but good for my first edit I think

Especially considering the twist was known by everyone as soon as Adam Driver was announced to be playing Kylo Ren.
Ha yes.
Well I am going to keep it how it is for now and see how it goes with the people previewing it and start changing from there.
Also I am not touching the ending with luke I find it perfect.
Even the helicopter shot?
Yep, I really like that shot. I may try to make it a little less shaky
I agree. The last shot I like the way it is
Accidental repost
Exporting the first draft now. Says will take 12-14 hours
I have been thinking for more emotion for the han death to save the planet destruction until the end. I really want huxs speech though.
Also I have been working on some color corrections so my first draft has been delayed.
Before color fix on top after on bottom http://imgur.com/PrPuYSg&kieoWC5

The speech is nice but from a narrative perspective having the Hosnian System improves the film by a decent margin so it wouldn’t be that much of a loss in the grand scheme of things.
True, I am now exporting the first draft. Did some color correction and tweaked somethings
