Don't bail on Bond yet. The franchise has some life and some rebuilding to do after the Brosnan run. I like Brosnan and I always thought that he would be a great Bond (dating back to him being on Remington Steele when they originally tried to cast him). But the films with him in it were terrible. I just don't fault him. The writing was horrible. There hasn't been a single Bond film since Dalton left the franchise that hasn't made me fall asleep. Dalton was the last really good Bond in terms of acting and writing. He was great but got panned critically and popularly. I still stand by License to Kill as one of my favorite Bond films of all time.

But I also have to say that I do like Roger Moore as Bond simply because I grew up with him as 007. He was my first exposure to the franchise so I hold a special place in my heart for Moore and his pompousness. Much like how many of you have a special place in your heart for the SEs of SW. Imprinting. Remember? Same way I prefer Van Halen with Sammy Hagar over David Lee Roth (not to mention the fact that they were more musically creative and original with Sammy at the helm as opposed to a couple albums that border on 30% cover songs with Roth).
