What do you think about that? #DisneyFail
Ah, so I did. Sorry about that.
.
No problem!

Fans will anyway buy the bluray, with the highest video and audio quality (I highly doubt the leaked file weighs 50 Go or so).
Just a thought: is it the first time that a digital release (dvd, bluray, etc.) of a SW movie (I don’t count Clone Wars) is going to be the true theatrical version ? No line modified ? No sfx changed ? No wipe redone ? Nothing, no alterations, even minor ones ? This is history !
I know right?
Giving people the movie they paid for? What a madness!
As for the torrent, it’s from REDACTED is known for making very compressed versions that have minimal loss.
Yes, of course fans will buy it, but you can’t deny that this is a big fuck-up on Disney’s part.
We are living in age where not paying for the product gets you better product than paying for the product.
I think TFA is the sort of film Kershner meant when he expressed hesitancy to direct ESB because, ~“a second one would always just be a second one.”
I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

That the fact it leaked when April 1st is right around the corner is the epitome of impatience.

You mean TFA is underrated because it’s a sequel ? I kind of think it is overrated because it came after the PT. Which does not mean it’s a bad movie (I’m still puzzled about it; if VIII and IX do the job I’ll probably love it as the first part of a whole, maybe as a ninth part).

I think he meant that a sequel would never have the same impact as the first film.

Unless Disney leaked it themselves in order to catch pirates!

Has such a thing ever been done before?

I think HBO leaked some Game of Thrones episodes last year and did just that.

Bad news for anyone thinking of using the deleted scenes for a TFA fan-edit. It’s official that they will all be marked with a damn timecode 😦
Please keep talk of any TFA bootlegs to the bare minimum. Do not discuss where to get it or who put it out there. Bad enough some people can’t wait to get the official release to start playing with it.

They’ve shown some of the Kylo Ren on the Falcon footage prior to this and it had the timecode on it but no one has explicitly said that there will be a timcode when the deleted scenes are actually released.

There aren’t any alterations of the kind you mention, but the end credits are apparently longer by about 3 minutes, compared to the theatrical version. The movie is now 138 minutes long.

I WANT THE UNALTERED END CREDITS !!! 😦
Why on Earth…
I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.
Please don’t tell me it’s got a post-credit scene.
.
The new credits feature a song by Bono over the end credits.
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”
I sense something. As if someone’s leg was being pulled.

It’s not a ROGUE ONE trailer or something like that, I checked (if it had been, you would already know). The credits last 11’. On album, the music for the end credits is around 7’40’’. So there is indeed 3’ of added material, at least music material :
Album track Medley:
Bluray end credits Medley:
So the credits have been extended, or, as I assume, just been slowed down (I remember in theater it was a little bit hard to follow the scrawl, which was passing too fast, so I guess it has been corrected) with a new track inserted into the medley. Not a big deal.
The credits seemed like normal speed to me. But I’ve only seen it four times in three different formats.
This is all conjecture until somebody actually has the disc.

I remember there has been an issue with some people who have worked on the movie (on Chewie costume for instance) but who didn’t get their names in the credits. Could be that. We’ll know more about it in less than 2 weeks.
They must have forgotten a whole lot of people to have to make the credits three minutes longer.
