He was a great dramatic actor and a good comedic actor, especially in Bubba-Ho-Tep. I think his best role was as DaMayor in Do the Right Thing. He played a drunk without ever acting like a drunk and was the conscience of the movie. He was one of those great character actors that gave me hope for a movie whenever he was in the movie. I know at the Oscars, they always show the people who died and the favorites always get the most applause. Brando will obviously get the most applause, but Davis deserves just as much applause.
