I think the main issue with the Ghostbusters thing is that even if it had the original cast, it would still be awful. It doesn’t feel genuine. It’s not being made because they want to make a good Ghostbusters movie, it’s being made to cash in on Ghostbusters nostalgia and, as much as I wouldn’t mind an all-female cast (that was done well), I feel like it’s cashing in on the popularity of doing so.

Maybe I’m wrong and they’re all strong and well-written characters, but if Leslie Jones’ horribly transparent racial stereotype is any indicator, they won’t be.
