This was to happen one day or another: TV’s Fink is right, he did understand something I wrote.
As for the “establishing that Han is unreliable blablabla” it is the worst excuse I have ever read to defend this terrible scene. Establishing a character that has been around an entire trilogy before that to show him doing exactly the same shit (75 yo smuggler, stealling from martial artist asian space cowboy bebop dudes), which does not add anything to the story (ok he’s “unreliable”, so… ?)… with crappy cgi monsters… in a scene where he’s more a goofy GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY protogonist than the legendary Han Solo… “back to square one, old dude”. This movie is so dumb… its dumbness never stops ! They should never have brought back the old cast, completely new and unrelated characters was the thing to do… “you should not have come back, Han !”, “if you kill me, Ren, I’ll… well, I’ll just die because I know nothing of the Force so… hum… why am I doing here again ?”
