Transcoding Audio Issues (MKV to MP4 to DVD media)

I was just wondering if there are any tips on getting properly synced up dialogue/audio when making a personal burn copy with Verbatim DVDR+DL. So far A New Hope has been fine from the first try, but after making two new files for Empire & Jedi, then new VIDEO_TS files to burn onto a disc (using DVDFlick & IMGBurn), I’m still getting that 1 to 2 second dialogue delay during most parts of Episode V & VI.

They play perfect (all MKV to MP4 converted files) on my PC with VLC Player, just notice the off audio/dialogue when I burn 'em. Searched some YouTube video tutorials on the best settings for converting MKV to MP4 using Handbrake etc… and I’m gonna keep trying until I get the last two as good as my Episode IV copy.

Some troubleshooting thoughts:

Maybe I should set a layer break (since it is DL Verbatim media), even though IMGBurn always prompts “You don’t need dual layer media for this file”, after DVD Flick is done with it’s convert, so I just accepted as is. It worked for Episode IV…

Always do them overnight with no processes running on my PC…

Anything else I’m not thinking of trying would be appreciated!

Thanks,
