- Different Opening: (skip to about 1:50 for the good stuff)
No, not a different opening crawl- my goal is to fix the movie, not rename it. When I say different opening, I mean the start of the movie. In this edit, the inside of the TF battleship is color-corrected to look like the OT, similar to Aalenfae. On top of that, after the Jedi arrive, the Viceroys (who have been re-dubbed and subbed) talk to Queen Amidala, and then invade the planet as the Jedi watch from the window. The droids then storm the room and the Jedi escape, as the army is already invading the planey. I was inspired by TFA to do it this way, and the pacing is much better.
I know a fanedit is first to please the one who has made it, so here is only my opinion: it doesn’t work. I’m not mentioning the jarring sound montage here and there than you can fix in subsequent versions, I really mean the scene ordering you’ve chosen, as well as how you’ve redubbed (and subtitled) the vilains.

the Neimoidians are cowards, and they look that way. They don’t have Neimoidians guards until EpIII - who don’t fight anyone anyway - and the viceroy is never seen grabbing a gun or doing something badass. Hence their new lines don’t fit with the way they look and behave;
-
the Jedi reaction to the invasion is weird: they don’t seem to give a shit about it, like “oh, look there: an invasion army. Gosh !” “let’s sit and have a drink, we’ll discuss that later with the viceroy”. By doing this, Qui-Gon looks like an idiot, and at least in the original version he’s a strong character. You show him weak and dumb in your opening, so I don’t think it works at all;
-
then the viceroy decides to kill the Jedi after starting the invasion: why ? Lucas is a terrible screenwriter but he once was a great editor, and the opening of EpI, in its original version, is well ordered (it’s really only after the landing that his script becomes shitty);
-
finally, the assassination attempt has failed, the Jedi escape, and they want to warn the Naboo… of an invasion that’s has been occuring for an hour or so and for which they didn’t react when they witnessed it (they sit and drank tea).
I don’t want to be a complete dick who over critizises, but the way you’ve reordered the scene is in fact way worse that the theatrical version.
