Interesting. I think I might start a ROTJ edit that has 2 versions. They would be a mashup of simple ideas from editors to trim the fat One will be more conservative like the Dan edit where Luke still shows up later in the film. I would cut what Yads cut mostly, use Ziggys shuttle scene, (use harmys 2.5 as main source of course for entire movie along with 2011 blu ray), use Ziggys change of Vaders vanishing head, and for the ending use Q2’s ending which is perfect really. Widespread galaxy celebration is just fine (holonet people, and bigger victory relief), keep new SE music (very inspirational and fitting to end of such a saga, yub nub is rather anti climatic) and obviously use Sebastian shaw. For V2 of my edit I would do everything the same but put Luke and Dagobah towards the start.

I mainly don’t know if moving the Dagobah scene is good. Pros and cons of moving back the scene earlier are below:

Pros-
-It establishes a direct bridge to Empire better with the discussion of Vader and Skywalker related stuff
-cool callback to Luke leaving Dagobah again to help his friends

Cons-
-Luke arriving later actually is very cool and it’s a great character introduction specifically for Luke as being mysterious and a entirely new person.
-Helps correspond with books, novels etc. continuity

Your People’s feelings on this change? Ziggy and spence used it and Yads did not.
