Can someone point me in the right direction on how to do this? I’ve tried Googling it and haven’t come up with much.

Yes, if you open the MKV in tsmuxer there’s an option to export it as a BD disc image. No idea how to do it if you want to get fancy with menus and what not.

Is the MKV file what is in Harmy’s post for the AVC files?

The MKV is the 20GB-ish video file on myspleen. The AVC is a lower quality encode that’s already in a BD directory, so if you’re using that you don’t need to convert it in tsmuxer, you can just go straight to disc with imgburn or whatever equivalent program you’re using. Are you trying to burn to a blu ray or a dvd-9? If you’re using a proper blu ray disc, I’d strongly recommend using the MKV.

Going to be getting a blu-ray burner and then some blank blu-rays.

Oh jeez. My slip. Anyway yeah, if you can burn to a proper blu ray disc, use the MKV.

How do I get on myspleen? Don’t I need an invite?

I tried using tsmuxer to make a BD ISO of ANH 2.5 and got the error

Matroska parse error: Invalid EBML number size 0 at pos 8801750317

Is this a common issue with that MKV?

Did you try the font cache method beforehand or is it a different error altogether? Almost every time I finish muxing one of them and go for another, I get a “can’t read stream type” error and there’s a terminal command that fixes that problem.

I was not aware of that fix but I will try it and report back.

Previously I was able to use MKVToolNix and I re-merged the MKV with the “Fix Bitstream Timing Info” box selected. I am not sure if this affected the MKV in any major way but I was able to create an ISO after that.

The question doesn’t make sense. You of course need a blu-ray burner to make blu-ray disc.
You can play MKVs on the PS3 via USB but it takes some work - there is a discussion on the boards here, but you will have to find it.
You can play MVKs converted via TsMuxer to Blu-Ray ISO and then burned to blu-ray just fine on a PS3.
From what I’ve been told the PS4 plays MKVs just fine.

PS4 needs a fatX HDD. It plays mkv, but supports very few audio formats. Might need to transcode to pcm or something.

I thought ps3s could play mkvs easily too? Unless I figured it out while I was drunk and thus forgot all the steps I had to take to make it work.

Nah, not unless you have a hacked ps3. People remux to mp4 or m2ts for ps3, but an unhacked system only supports fat32, so you need to split anything over 4Gb, etc.

I started browsing this site back in December. I’ve seen a couple of the Playstation threads but they don’t seem to be updated, so I figured I would join and try to contribute.

It is possible to stream the MKV from your computer to the PS3 if you have Playstation Media Server installed on your computer. I haven’t tried the subtitles, but you can transcode the file and play all the different audio streams if you need a different language other than english. My Playstation is close to my modem so I have it hard wired in along with the laptop. I’m not certain if you will get good results if you streamed wirelessly, but it’s definitely worth a try before you start splitting the file into 4gb chunks as suggested in the other thread

So if the MKV is of higher quality, can the resulting Blu-ray be burned with some sort of menu system to it or will the movie just start immediately? Also, is there a proper procedure for gaining access to the MySpleen community? I am actively in the Paradox forum and have figured out the multipart d/l but would like to start the process for future releases. Any info is appreciated.

BB8 I found a great converting software for bluray it’s called convertxtoHD I used it works flawless and you can upscale it to 1080p and you can add menus and all other stuff
