Wasn’t it said that they also decided to axe the IB Tech release because it might interfere with mverta’s negotiations with Fox and the Rat?

Oh fucking fuck that.

No. Regardless of who is right or wrong with all the other crap. No to this comment infinitely.

If it proceeds, never minding all the other BS, it will surely be proceeding because it is not seen to interfere with the Fox/Rat talks. Hell, it probably won’t be anywhere approaching partway done by that time. But don’t dismiss those negotiations as if they’re not the most important thing happening on or around this site.

Oh please. If you think having a custom Technicolor project out in the wild from Team -1 will interfere any more than the existing 35mm project, or any other specific project like DeEd, you are crazy, as if they would see a huge distinction between the two. No giant corporation could give a flying fuck, as it would not in any way affect the potential profitability, or lack thereof, of any project they’re presented. This is obviously not the reason. So are you telling me the -1 Technicolor project was announced, it was worked on, previewed publically on this forum, access was granted to a great scan for the project, explicit permission to use the scan by the scan’s owner, and then suddenly it’s decided (after all that) to pull the plug as not to interfere with Mike Verta’s negotiations for the “greater good”, and for this reason to keep the plug pulled? It’s obvious why the plug was pulled: accusations over ownership of particular scanned print. If this turns out not to be the case, it’s time to plug back in.

Absolutely absurd. What a monumental waste.
