It’s good to see my thread is still active…bring on the hate
I watched Jurassic World on my TV first, without seeing it in theaters, and the CGI looked awful. Though 4K projection would probably make it look worse. I guess I’m glad I didn’t see it that way.

I think you hate TFA almost as much as I used to hate Stargate SG-1. Thankfully, I grew out of my less-than-rational loathing; it was mentally tasking and utterly unworthy of the effort.

But not the punctuation?
…used to hate Stargate SG-1…
You mean you like it now? I’d have more respect for it if it really was called “MacGyver in Space”. Though I don’t have any respect for MacGyver past the pilot episode, so that probably wouldn’t be a very big margin.

No, I can’t say I really like it now. I accept it for the moderately entertaining Trek knockoff that it is and pretty much ignore it from there.
I was a big fan of the show prior to 2006, though.

CPY is coming for you tonight…
…Trek knockoff…
I wouldn’t really label it as a Trek knockoff, I mean, Stargate was a reasonably fine sci-fi action film. SG-1 was just loosely based on that, with a little more “trek” added.

The Goa’uld will always be gray aliens to me, never snakes, and Jackson’s love interest will always be Shar’ia, never Shar’ae.
And here I thought this thread was worth reading…

Misspelt namess aside, I salute you, brother.

Salutes you back
I think I almost prefer Bosk’s posts at this point.

I can’t wait for your warning. With that said, I laughed. And with that said, I don’t want to read about fucking Stargate in a Star Wars thread.
Okay, everybody play nice!
And didn’t we have a Stargate thread in off topic many moons ago?
Where were you in '77?
So, to get back on topic, I don’t like the sand in TFA. It’s course, and it gets everywhere.
EDIT:
I can’t wait for your warning…
Wait, what warning? For being off topic? I made two off topic posts here.
EDIT: Sorry, 4.5 off topic posts.

TFA would be leagues better without the Starkiller Base superweapon. However, TFA was still excellent as is.

And to stay on topic, sand is coarse, of course.
Okay, sorry. Let’s just get back on topic, and I’ll try not to get banned for my minor offense here. And of coarse, sand is quite course.

I don’t hate it, I just don’t like it. It’s a crap film. I watched American Sniper last night, now that’s a good film.

Are you Reti4? That would explain everything
How did Kylo miraculously know to go to Jakku at the exact same time as Poe? I found that less believable than Anakin building 3PO.
Much like at Maz’s bar, there could be spies or informants for both sides everywhere.
